THE BUS
This was "The Ramrod," a bus that was purchased in 1966 for Berrien's athletic teams to use. It was bought from Moody Air Force Base and named via contest by Buck Swindle. It did not last long in its role as it was prone to mechanical problems.

FRUSTRATION
It is unknown who the Rebels were playing here, but it's quite evident that the call went against Simpson. If you notice, the entire opposition's bench is watching. Benches would remain at the ends of the floor until 1981.

THE TROPHY
Stanley Simpson is posing with his highest honor to date - the 1968 boys 3rd place trophy. He is standing on the walkway, just outside the gym.

HUDDLE UP
The Rebelettes receive instruction. The unity of the team is obvious, as every team member is in the huddle, intent on the instruction, and has her hand on the player beside her.

ALL-STATE
Simpson poses in between the first two boys to earn All-State - Raymond Tucker and Ernest Taylor. Combined, the two scored 899 points in the 1967-68 season. Both would pass his jersey number to his brother in the next season, Richard Tucker taking 31 and Bobby Taylor wearing 35.

BERRIEN'S BIG GUNS
That was the caption to this photo printed in the Valdosta Times. From left to right are Wayne Faglier, Jerry Brogdon, R.E. Outlaw, Simpson, Felton McClellan, and Pete Griffin. They would go on to win the sub-region title in 1963.
