The Tournament
Teams: 13
How determined:
Champion: Pickens County
School Title: 1st
Final Record: 34-0
Coach: D.B. Carroll
Notes:
Other Notes:
- The Atlanta Journal reported that Pearson was doing well in its semifinal game with Pickens, until 5:20 remained in the fourth. They had put up 38 points when disaster struck. Nan Jo Corbett fouled out. Not only was she Pearson's high scorer in the game, she was their only scorer. All 38 tallies belonged to her. Without her in the game, they mustered only five more points and lost, 43-48.
