Other Notes
- Savannah and O'Keefe were tied 33-33 at the end of regulation, 34-34 after one overtime, 34-34 after two extra periods, 35-35 after three, before Savannah got a point in the 4th.
The rules on overtimes, according to the March 1, 1951 Atlanta Journal: "Rule on the matter states that the team which scores the first two points after the first overtime period is declared the winner. In a triple overtime, if both teams have scored two points in the first two extra sessions, one point [scored] wins. In this instance, the second overtime was scoreless and each sank one point in the first and third overtimes. That made the first foul shot or field goal in the fourth overtime the game winner."
