The Tournament
Teams: 16
How determined: Region winners and runners-up
Champion: Berrien
School Title: 3rd
Final Record: 29-0
Coach: Dona Fields
Notes: The semifinal against Stephens County was the Rebelettes' closest call of the season. With slightly less than 10 seconds showing on the clock, Karen Folsom scored off a pass from Susan Taylor. Folsom had seen limited action for most of the season with illness. In Fields' five years at the Berrien helm, the team won two state titles and went 133-11.
