The Tournament
Teams: 16
How determined: Region winners and runners-up
Champion: Lowndes
School Title: 1st
Final Record: 30-0
Coach: Charles Cooper
Notes: Lowndes trailed, 35-40, going into the 4th quarter. This was consecutive win #30 for the Vikettes. They'd tack on three more consecutive titles and 92 more straight wins.
Other Notes:
- Even the nicest of facilities can be subject to problems. The tight Hephzibah/Clarkston game was plagued by two power failures at Alexander Memorial in the third quarter that lasted for 50 minutes.
