The Tournament
Teams: 16
How determined: Region winner and region runner-up.
Champion: Hart County
School Title: 7th
Final Record: 30-1
Coach: Glenda Gibson
Notes: This was the fifth of six consecutive state titles for the Hart County girls.
Other Notes:
- Clarkston felt confident with four minutes left in the third quarter of their opening round game with Winder-Barrow. Not only were the Angoras undefeated, they led 44-25. The Bulldoggs then rose up and went on quite a tear. They closed out the third on an 18-0 run. Clarkston still had the lead entering the fourth (44-43) and W-B only scored 10 more points. That was enough to win, though, as Clarkston netted a paltry five.
