Year Minimum Foundation building program completed
1954.

Berrien had one of the earliest extensive building programs in Georgia. Included was a complete new plant for Nashville High and Elementary, which consolidated all schools.

Year of total integration
1969.

Nashville High & Elementary sent its 11th and 12th grades to Berrien High for the 1967-68 school year, then the rest of the high school for 1968-69.

For 1969-70, Berrien completely desegregated with Nashville High & Elementary becoming Berrien Junior High.

Alapaha briefly had a high school at the beginning of the 1950s. Nashville does not seem to have had a full high school at that time.

Nashville High and Elementary was the full name of the consolidated school opened in 1954.
