All African American schools consolidated to the new Bethune campus.

Bethune began moving grades to Charlton County High in 1966. The Aug. 25 Charlton County Herald of that year said juniors and seniors had been moved for the 1966-67 school year. The 1968-69 Georgia Educational Directory lists Bethune as grades 1-9.
