Year Minimum Foundation building program completed
1954.

Decatur County was one of the biggest school building projects and one of the earliest. Projects for white and Black schools totaled over $1.2 million. African American schools included were West Bainbridge, Attapulgus-Mount Moriah, and an addition for Hutto.

Year of total integration

Attapulgus-Mount Moriah was still in use after 1970. Decatur County's plans for the 1970-71 school year have not been confirmed yet.

Attapulgus Elementary was renamed Lillian E. Williams around 1966, probably to differentiate from the traditionally white school of the same name.

Faceville Elementary burned in 1964, forcing its closure.
