Profile: Jasper County

Year Minimum Foundation building program completed
1956.

Jasper County Training, later renamed Washington Park, received a new building for its all-grades school.

Neither of the two schools built in Jasper County - the other was Monticello High, whose name was supposed to change over to Jasper County High, but didn't - opened on time. The Monticello News on Aug. 23, 1956, said the opening was pushed back a week to Sept. 10.
