Notes: Escue Rogers's gridiron squads dominated the 1950s. That's actually selling them short. Class B belonged to them during the decade. The won the championship in 1951, 1953, 1955, and 1957. In one of the biggest upsets ever, they finished second to Tift County Industrial in 1952.

Notes: Elm Street won the 1958 Class B football title. There is also the state championship game of 1960. Elm Street played either Cook County Training or Wayne County Training. Neither the semifinal nor the final is mentioned in either south Georgia paper. The Rockmart Journal is missing. The University of Georgia does not have 1960 or 1961. The editor of the paper says they have nothing prior to the late 1970s. The only hint that they might be the champs is that this team was inducted into the Polk County Sports Hall of Fame. We don't know why they were. Just that they were. To anyone with information about the 1960 Elm Street squad please, please send it in.
