Profile: Upson County

Year Minimum Foundation building program completed
?

Thomaston city and Upson County each had school systems, but shared the high school in Thomaston.

By appearances, Yatesville Junior High, later known as Cunningham, received a new building. What happened with other schools in the city or county is unknown.

Year of total integration
1970.

Known high schools
  • Drake (Thomaston)
  • Thomaston
  • Thomaston Training
Drake was the evolution of the school's name from Thomaston Training, to as Thomaston, before its final monicker Drake, located in the Thomaston city system, served county and city students. Upson County does not seem to have had an African American high school.
