The Tournament
Teams: 16
How determined:
Champion: Seminole County
School Title: 6th
Final Record:
Coach: N.P. Malcom
Notes:
Other Notes:
- Even a nearly brand new building can have its problems. The scoreboard clock died during the quarterfinals game between Reidsville and Atkinson County.
- Duluth faced a crisis entering its quarters game with Stockbridge. En route to Macon their head coach, Lewis Grizzle, was injured in a car accident. A friend of Grizzle's and coach of the Central Gwinnett girls, Butch Britt, took over duties. Grizzle was able to return to his team a night later and watched them edge Reidsville to go to the finals.
