Notes: The Panthers and Pantherettes achieved something in 1987 that had not been accomplished since 1972 and wouldn't be accomplished again until 2006. They won a double crown, both the boys and girls winning a state title in the same sport in the same year. Clinch's finals foe in GAC had been the last of these in 1972 and Southwest Atlanta Christian Academy would be the 2006 winners.
