The first round game between Wayne County and Spalding was a double forfeit because of a second quarter brawl between the teams. For the first time in tournament history, the Georgia High School Association declared a double forfeit, leaving Starr's Mill with no second round opponent.
Starr's Mill advanced to the quarterfinals automatically because of the double forfeit.
